The user meetings have had a history of expanding every year and this year was no exception. Even though we moved to a bigger room it got pretty crowded as the new version drew a lot of expecting viewers. "As allways we are very happy people turn up and the reception of the new GUI was exactly what we hoped for." says Mattias Bogeblad who represented the community and held the presentation.
This meeting was a bit different in that we did not leave room for any case stories this time as the new version 3 is such a big update. Instead we had plenty of time to discuss the different features in the new versions and the participants was able to ventilate their opinions more thouroughly. During the breaks and lunch the users also had time for interaction between each others which as allways is one of the most important aspects of these meetings.
As stated above the reception was very warm of most features although it was clear the organisations had many suggestions and questions concerning them. Some of the more central proposals will be regarded and included in the final version. It was also a general concensus that many organisations will help in beta-testing the version which the developers are very happy to hear. A beta-version will be offerred as soon as possible, probably as a bundled package or as a specific install package.
The InfoGlue Community and Modul 1 thanx all the participants for their time and all the input for coming versions and welcomes all to the next meeting spring next year.
